About Marum
A training restaurant in a garden villa where former street youth learn hospitality careers — part of the TREE Alliance network. Creative Khmer small plates (yes, including the red tree-ant beef stir-fry) in a relaxed, leafy setting.
Why we love it
The rare place where the feel-good backstory and the food are both genuinely excellent. This is the social-impact dinner we recommend over any orphanage-adjacent "experience."
Good to Know
Do I need a reservation at Marum?
Walk-ins are generally fine; evenings around 7–8pm are busiest in high season.
What payment is accepted?
US dollars are standard everywhere (bring small bills; change comes in riel), and most established restaurants also take cards — though a 2–3% card fee is common.
